Welcome to the official online home for T444!  We have active troops for boys and girls with approximately 75 scouts and a dedicated group of adult leaders.

Our mission is to help scouts learn, develop and grow in a safe, caring environment and to help families bring up moral, civic-minded leaders. We will place the well-being of the scouts ahead of any other considerations and we will respect the needs of our constituent families at all times.

September Campout - 444B Sept 13-14

Posted on Aug 22 2025 - 2:43pm

Sign up for the 444B Sept campout is live!  PLEASE reach out to me if you are an adult (or know someone else) with some mountain biking skills who would be able to lead this portion of the campout.  Our first few options have fallen through.  If you only stay for the day on Saturday, you're not required to be a registered adult to help in this way.  Thanks for considering!

Troop 444 Families:

Welcome back for another great year of Scouting!  We are excited to get things started, and have a LOT for you to take note of, so please read all items below and note the action items (signups, etc.) that we need to hear back on.

CALENDAR:  Many important dates for the fall have now been added to the calendar on the troop website, and we will continue to add items over the next few weeks.  If you haven't already, please make sure you have saved the login to the site to access all content - AND make sure you have subscribed to the calendar on your device or online calendar, which you can do at https://t444.org/ical - this will ensure dates will automatically get updated for the year.

MEETING KICKOFF:  Both troops have their first regular Monday night meetings of the year on Monday, August 25, beginning with TFC at 7pm and full troop at 7:30pm.  There will not be a meeting this Monday 8/18.
-- The boys troop ALSO has a kickoff event this coming Saturday 8/23 at 7pm at Heights Park.

POPCORN:  It's popcorn season - and every scout should be participating in fundraisers, as they help fund troop operations!  Scouts can already get a jump on sales NOW using the Trail's End app.  We also have a number of storefront opportunities beginning with Tom Thumb on Arapaho on 9/13.  If you have questions, reach out to our popcorn lead Rebecca Bradley at goteeu@gmail.com.  You can see all dates/times and sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0B49A4AA2FA7FC1-57648098-popcorn

FLAGS: We have the Labor Day flag deployment and retrieval coming up, and as always we need families to sign up and help. The more folks we have, the faster it goes!  Sign up for deployment on 8/30 and retrieval on 9/13 here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084BA9AC28A5FF2-57993513-labor

MEDICAL FORMS: If you did not submit a BSA medical form for summer camp or high adventure at the end of last spring, we need one for each registered scout and adult.  Please download the form here (Parts A and B1/B2 are all that are needed for normal weekend campouts), fill it out and bring with you to the first meetings on 8/25:

ADULT REGISTRATION: Adults, if you want to stay overnight on ANY campout with the troop, you must be registered with BSA.  You can register here - just choose "adult" and pay for your registration, which is good for one year from date of payment:

SEA BASE PLANNING MEETING 8/17: If you are planning on being a part of the 444 Sea Base crews over Spring Break 2026, please attend this virtual meeting with your scout on Sunday 8/17 from 7:30-8:30pm.  Here is the link to join: https://meet.google.com/dux-oyiw-nnx

Summer Check-In

Posted on Jul 25 2025 - 3:35pm

Hello, 444 Families!  I hope you have had a wonderful summer.  Congrats to all our scouts and adults who attended summer camp at Wehinahpay in June, as well as our Philmont crew that just returned from a successful trek last week.

Make sure you have these two events on your calendar for this coming week:

- Monday 7/28 - 444B PLC Planning Meeting:  Our boys troop PLC (Patrol Leaders' Council) will be meeting Monday 7/28 at 7pm at AUMC to discuss planning for meetings and campouts for the coming year.  This is open to SPLs, ASPLs, PLs and troop guides.

Sunday 8/3 - Flag Repair Workshop:  This is an important fundraiser for our troop, and we meet quarterly to repair torn or broken flags.  Please join us on August 3 at 2pm at the Scout Hut - the more scouts/adults present, the quicker we can get the work done!  Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0848A8AD2DA0F58-57663024-troop

We should have most campouts and other events on the troop website calendar by the end of August, so stay tuned for that. Once those dates are firmed up, we will also post a Campout Leads signup - we need leads to take each monthly campout now to ensure timely planning!

Thanks, and see you soon.
