Welcome to the official online home for T444!  We have active troops for boys and girls with approximately 75 scouts and a dedicated group of adult leaders.

Our mission is to help scouts learn, develop and grow in a safe, caring environment and to help families bring up moral, civic-minded leaders. We will place the well-being of the scouts ahead of any other considerations and we will respect the needs of our constituent families at all times.

-- FLOWER SALES REMINDER:  All orders are due MONDAY (3/18) so be sure to get that finished up now!

 

—CAMPOREE!  APRIL CAMPOUT SIGNUP: 444 is going to Circle Ten Camporee at TRJ from April 12-14! This is open to all scouts in both B and G troops (G troop also has a previously-scheduled campout this weekend but scouts can choose which one they'd prefer to attend). Cost is $20 per scout for program and camping; adults are free (please consider signing up!). Please sign up ASAP, as it closes March 22:

The application window will close March 22 and award notifications will be communicated shortly after.  The Spring flower sales contribute significantly to the funds available for campership awards so lets sell some flowers!

--FIN-FUR-CON MERIT BADGE EVENT: Looking to pick up some extra merit badges?  Fin-Fur-Con is coming up Saturday 3/23 at TRJ, and offers 18 different wildlife and conservation-related merit badges (as well as a TFC track for  Tenderfoot and Second Class requirements). Almost every class still has a few spots left, so if you are interested, sign up today!  (Note that this is not a troop activity, so sign up on your own - but it would be fun to coordinate/carpool with other scouts!)

Weekly Announcements 3/3-9

 - IMPORTANT - OA ELECTIONS THIS MONDAY:  Both troops will be holding Order of the Arrow elections this Monday night (3/4), and at least 50% of active scouts in each troop must be present for elections to take place.  Please plan on attending the meeting if at all possible.  Order of the Arrow serves as a national honor society for scouting, and 444 has a rich history of involvement with Mikanakawa Lodge, which represents Circle Ten in OA.  
 
- MARCH B/G CAMPOUT: Devil's Den State Park, March 9-11: Both groups on this campout (backpacking and base camping) have now been combined into one big base camp group due to numbers and logistics - we'll do day hikes each day.  We still need another adult or two - especially another adult female if possible.

- BIG THANKS to Nathan Hart and Justin Eastburn for taking the lead for summer camp and getting all 40+ scouts signed up for merit badges this past week.  And we appreciate our families getting your merit badge picks in on time, to make their job easier!  More camp details coming soon.
 
- PACK 893 CROSSOVER: We have new members coming our way! Can you attend the Pack 893 Blue & Gold banquet to welcome new members to 444G and 444B? The event is Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 @ Arapaho UMC, but you can arrive at 7:15 if your family isn't already attending the whole event. If you and your scout can be there to represent our troops please reach out to Katrina Gray.
 
- SPRING FLOWER SALES are underway!  Full announcement and sales flyer/order form are downloadable on the website (scroll down announcements a bit) if you missed Monday's meeting.  All orders and money are due by Monday, March 18.
